Access Management controls which web sites or elements within web sites a user can access and authentication they need to access each piece. By installing an Access Manager as part of the security infrastructure users can gain Single Sign On to the web sites that they are allowed to access. In addition elements of web sites can be removed from an individual’s access list. Access Manager also allows or graded authentication. For access to some web site an initial login with ID and Password can be sufficient but for more secure sites Access Manager can enforce two factor authentication even when the actual application does not support two factor authentication.
Access Manager can be used to centralise access control for all web sites, removing the need for multiple software tools at various locations. One access solution fits all applications and information assets. In addition, Access Manager includes support for major federation standards, including SAML and WS-Federation.
The browser-based Management Console provides a central place where your administrators can view, configure and manage all installed components and policies. It's also where your IT manager can monitor the health of the network in real time and automate certificate distribution.
