If you are a NHS Chief Executive OR Finance Director you will be receiving shortly a complimentary calculator from the Salford team.

In a recent study we looked at return on investment figures from work carried out at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, after they automated the starters and leavers process and created password self service.

In the North West SHA region we estimate that almost £800k each year is wasted on manual effort and duplication to re-set users passwords, in Yorkshire and Humberside the figure was almost £1/2 million.

The idea is for each Trust to calculate "their" costs and then hopefully wrestle with their conscience  - in this time of austerity, why this service could not be "automated" under a currently license free paid for solution.
