We are currently looking to recruit a dynamic individual for Higher Education Division Position: Senior Account Manager.

Reporting to the Higher Education Sales Manager, the ideal candidate will have an excellent track record and experience of working with academic or other public sector organisations.

Essential skills and experience

  • Three years field sales experience
  • Experience and knowledge of selling Novell/Microsoft/Sun solutions and products
  • Accurate management of forecast
  • Effective communicator
  • Achieve sales targets
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the company's products and solutions
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team

Desirable

  • Understanding of Identity Management, Single Sign-On and Portal Solutions

We are also currently looking to recruit an individual for 3rd Line Technical Support Engineer - ZENworks.

Reporting to the Technical Support Manager

The position is based at the Salford Software offices in Talbot Road, Old Trafford. While most of the work will be office based, there will be a requirement for occasional travel to customer site or for training etc. The following lists the basic requirements for an individual to be considered for this role:

  • Minimum of 5 years commercial IT experience with the skill listed below
  • Must have excellent telephone manner and customer facing skills
  • Can communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within customer organisations
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and fluent in English
  • Can demonstrate the ability to working under pressure with high technical incident volumes and complexity
  • Some out of hours standby/telephone support required on a rota basis
  • Office hours to be covered are between 8:00am and 6:00pm on an early/late “shift” rota

The main technical skills we are looking for are:

  • Linux or NetWare
  • Novell ZENWorks Suite of products
  • Windows XP, Vista, Windows 2000/3 Server

Package

In return we offer an excellent salary with contributory pension scheme and health care (on completion of probation period). Holidays are 25 days (rising to 30 days after three years of service) which include three mandatory days at Christmas plus UK public holidays.
