Yorkshire Ambulance Service start the RiS Deployment Service

Covering 6,000 square miles and serving a population of 5 million people the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) employs almost 4,000 people.

Recognition of the RiS offering (Rapid Implementation Service) around the automation of starters leavers and changes via the NHS ESR application were clearly recognized and gave the Trust the ability to eradicate paper provisioning and greatly improve security and information governance.

The work is due to start early June and both Salford and YAS have identified some of the additional connectors that we add further value and governance benefit to the service.

An early comment from the discussions was that you cannot expect to meet increased security criteria by passing username and password requests around on spreadsheets and pieces of paper.

The completed project is greatly anticipated and I'm sure we'll be able to bring you further news in July 09.

Meanwhile the NHS team continues to progress around 140x NHS Trusts who are taking a great deal of interest around the CFH baseline approved offering.
