Providing secure, personalised access to resources for non permanent users within any organisation can present a challenge. The issue of how to provision and de-provision users who are not permanent to the business can affect organisations across all sectors.

Non permanent users may be temporary nursing or healthcare staff in the NHS, visiting lecturers or conference attendees at a university or contractors in local government or a commercial organisation.

In order to fulfill their role, temporary staff and contractors still need to have access to certain resources. Traditionally, non permanent users may have been granted access via a time consuming paperchase or perhaps the sharing usernames and passwords of permanent staff.

Affiliate Records Management System (ARMS) creates and enables access to services and resources, including email, for affiliate (temporary) members of staff without comprising security. ARMS enables the organisation to enhance the user experience by providing fast, reliable and importantly, protected access to non permanent staff.

Working with your existing Identity Management system, ARMS will allow your organisation to further enhance the user experience by:

  • Timely provisioning of access, enabling users to be productive rapidly
  • Timely de-provisioning of user access, enhancing security
  • Reduction of administrative overheads through secure devolved administration
  • Improved secure access to required resources
  • Rapid turnaround of special requests
  • Improved accuracy and reduced re-entry of data
