One of the major issues with networks of people, especially across multiple sites, is the ability to find reliable data about a user. This could be a location, department or something as simple as a telephone number.

Using Identity Management allows for a consistant set of data to be made available. This is sourced within ESR or within other authoritative sources to ensure that the data is not only consistant but also accurate. As an example telephone systems can be added in to ensure that any internal phone numbers are correct.

The system is easy to search using names or departments and users also have the ability, if required, to edit their own information where this is applicable.
