Migration of users mailboxes from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003 - what is the best way to go about doing this?

Microsoft deployment wizard > Selected new server and it cannot migrate
An error of "unable to perform the migration please enter a source server outside the target exchange organisation."

Can the Microsoft deployment wizard be used?

This explains the move mailbox method which should be used (although it doesnt mention Exchange 2003 it is still the preferred method).
