-634 error when using Exim against eDirectory
Summary
When exim does an LDAP lookup against a R/W replica and the master is down a 634 error is returned.
Solution
Problem is caused by the LDAP search trying to look at the root of the tree for which it needs to communicate with the master replica, setting the base in exim to the top level prevents exim for looking up the root entry and allows exim to work when the master replica is unavailable.
