G4Batch Input File Format

This applies to:

  • GPAS for Netware

Summary

G4Batch has an f=input_filename option which can be specified instead of the object name on the command line.

Solution

The input file should contain a list of users along with the operations to apply to them. The user should be specified on one line (u=[user_ldap_dn]), followed by one or more operations to apply to that user.

Each operation starts with a single letter, b, o or m, to indicate the account attribute to modify (balance, overdraft or maximum, respectively). This letter is followed by =, +, - or * to set, increase, decrease or scale the specified attribute, respectively. This is followed by a number which indicates the amount for the operation.

The following is an example input file which will add 10 to the balance of both user1 and user2, and set the overdraft of user1 to 100:

u=cn=user1,ou=Users,o=SalfordSoftware
b+10
o=100
u=cn=user2,ou=Users,o=SalfordSoftware
b+10
