GPAS4 Admin Interface and NetWare 6.5 SP7

Summary

With the introduction of SP7 for NetWare 6.5 Novell have switched to using Tomcat 5 (compared with Tomcat 4) though they don’t copy/redeploy any existing applications (for compatibility reasons), obviously this affects the GPAS admin interface.

Why does my Admin Interface no longer work after upgrading to Netware 6.5 SP7?

Solution

The GPAS admin interface has been tested with Tomcat 5 and the fix is straight forward copy gpas.war from you sys:\tomcat\4\webapps\ directory to sys:\tomcat\5\webapps\ and restart tomcat (alternatively you could download the gpas.war from the portal).
