Microsoft have announced details of the pricing model for their much anticipated cloud solution - Microsoft Azure. This will become commercially available from the end of 2009. According to Microsoft the pricing model will be based around micro-payments for compute time on a per hourly basis and on storage used (on a monthly basis).
The pricing model is broken down into three parts for use of Windows Azure, SQL Azure and .NET services as follows:

Good news - Salford Software has been awarded N3 certification, this means our technical helpdesk can now directly dial in NHS institutions to resolve technical faults…. It is a fantastic achievement for our support team and means that Salford Software are one of only a few consultancy firms in the UK that have this accreditation.

A new release of GPAS, our print accounting system, has been made available for download to GPAS customers on our web site.  Many fixes and improvements have been made to the latest versions of the core GPAS components (the Admin Interface, Log Daemon, Spooler and Client) for both NetWare and Windows systems.

This release focuses on improving the stability, performance and usability of GPAS.
