Two factor authentication

What is two factor authentication?

Authentication which requires users to produce two credentials – something that they have (eg physical, smartcard or token) and something they know (eg password). In order to access a system, users MUST produce both factors.

Two factor authentication can be configured for the Access Management and Single Sign On solutions and applied for both internal and external access to match the organisations security polices.

Protect sensitive data and information by implementing two factor authentication policies. For many organisations, particularly within education, public sector and the NHS, there are strict guidelines which require such enforcement and compliance across the business.
